How do you become a geothermal engineer?

I want to be an engineer who works on geothermal energy plants or atleast in that field.

So far I’ve seen courses for construction engineer, and then specialising in geotechnical engineering. Is that the right path?

This could be a very smart choice, since it is likely that the University of Hawaii would have programs to educate you for this field…

Why not find yourself a geothermal energy system, and phone them? Ask them what qualifications they would like an engineer to have.

Geothermal engineering is a very narrow field and they will be looking for specialist skills which may be outside the norm. Sort of like a plumber and geologist combined with an electrician.
