  1. Fractured Fairy Tales says:

“Who is against these no brainers?”

Not me. It’s one of the reasons I voted for him.

  2. sound_of_the_silenced3 says:

No. It is presisly because of government why we dont have clean energy now.

If government didnt have a monopoly on roads and the interstate the market would have provided a better and more efficient form of transportation.

If government didnt outlaw industrial hemp we could have had a fuel not based in oil.

If government wouldnt have got in bed with JP Morgan, Nickola Tesla’s ideas would have given us FREE energy over 100 years ago.

    GOVERNMENT IS THE PROBLEM!

  3. Great White says:

Yea like Obama’s gonna do that – its just lip service like everything else that fell from between his teeth! What a liar!!

  4. Blockers Fear Opposite Opinion says:

If you were smart, you would be against it

Man made global warming is a prove hoax

for every green job, it destroys 2 regular jobs. Just look at Spain

This is the only thing i agree with you on. End our dependence on islamic or foreign oil

  5. bluechristy says:

Yes and Green Energy would create many jobs and business opportunities

  6. James says:

I’m for it, lets hope we see some serious change here.

  7. Bethy says:

I am against them cause they arent really no brainers

    They are expensive and wasteful

And mostly they are put in place to make Obama’s cronies money

If we really wanted to end our dependence on islamic oil he wouldnt ban 30% of our domestic oil production

  8. some black girl says:

I agree with the top two, but there is such thing as oil independence, all of our oil goes to the same place

  9. tacotorch says:

Atleast he is promoting electric cars, that could end the Islamic oil money, and that would be good.

  10. hj8228 says:

I like the idea of taxing pollution, but the timing is a concern for me. We will eventually create an alternative to oil; it’s just a matter of when.

In reality, oil is an absolutely necessity. There is no way we can cut our dependence on it right now. This is a very gradual process and should be treated as such.

A better alternative in my opinion is to create this tax on pollution only if there is a tax cut in another area (preferably corporate tax). This way we can create a disincentive to use oil and not hurt the economy as much in the process.

  11. Eric says:

Number one reason I voted for him. I hated it when he went back on his oil stance but I understood the reasons why. He wouldn’t have won if he decided to stick with his stance against drilling. Good to know that he’s starting to see the light once more.

  12. wichitaor1 says:

Apparently, average college students are the no-brainers.

This, however, has not been your dumbest post. You might be improving.

  13. The American With A Brain says:

Global Warming was found a hoax, created my a collage in the UK. NO REAL FACTS support the theory. Green jobs destroy 2 jobs for every 1 they create. Going GREEN is ruining the economy. (ex. Toyota losses money for every prius they sell.) But, yes lets stop buying oil from other nations. We have plenty in our oun country, but brain-less liberals dont want to drill because “WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE FROM “GLOBAL WARMING!!!”" *sarcasm.

  14. Skipp says:

Energy is not the only purpose of oil. What about all the other oil based products? Plastics, chemicals, textiles, lubrication, asphalt, pesticides, polyeurethanes, paint, carbon steel..etc.
How is windmills and solar panels going to solve all that?

As for global warming..I don’t give at rats asss if the future world is under water. Better learn to co exist with the fish. Because man is not on top of the food chain in the ocean. They are the food.

  15. All Black says:

No, I’m not standing with your President for any of these left wing slogans!
The warming effect of CO2 is proportional to the log of the atmospheric concentration of CO2. (Look up the words you don’t understand on Google).
That means that the first 20ppm of CO2 have the same warming effect as the next 400ppm. It follows that Co2 is not especially important to Global Warming. The 40% increase in CO2 in the last 150 years is responsible for at most a 5% warming effect. I’m sorry – this is based on scientific fact, not IPCC computer games, so I don’t need “Scientific consensus” on this. Look it up for yourself.
Green Jobs are low skill, low paid jobs installing insulation and so forth. You want one? I don’t.
You can end dependence on “Islamic oil” by burning good Christian Coal instead! I can see why you call that racist assertion a “No-Brainer”! Frankly I’m surprised at the clarity of your self-perception. Is the Oil in the Gulf Islamic? Is that why it suicide-bombed the BP Oil Rig? Give us a break…
It appears that none of what you believe is true, or even loosely based on fact.
