Absolutely! I think we will have it made once we can make solar panels at least 50 percent efficient. Energy will be dirt cheap then. I also believe wind helices, compact florescent bulbs, caulking, solar water heating, geothermal heating pumps, and daylighting are essential, too. If it were up to me, they would have building codes that mandate all these amenities.

  2. Sherawat says:

I think it is not necessary that our future generation to have the solar power in the home because if we decided to save our natural resources from nowadays then there is no need for it.. But my suggestion is solar power should compulsory to all the homes which will reduce the usage of electricity current and also will save our money..

Well, solar power is the only energy source that’s large enough to meet our demands but it’s not actually necessary to have it in our homes. It’s possible to centralize solar power generation to use more efficient methods and either transmit the electricity via the grid or store it chemically in the form of hydrocarbon fuels. Technically, fossil fuel, biomass, hydro, and wind are all solar power. Fossil and biomass are from photosynthesis, hydro from evaporation and precipitation at a higher elevation, and wind is from thermal gradients in the atmosphere.

It will be a matter of economics and who manages to profit that will determine if solar power will be generated in a distributed or centralized fashion. But it will be a solar powered future.

    I would say yes.

  5. JOHNNIE B says:

NO !!! U will later understand that some of the big Co. are making a lot of money. It is a scam.

  6. FunkyFrank says:

i dont think it is necessary but i think it will be a huge benefit. some of the problems i think he government sees is the lack of money and jobs it will bring in.

  7. Milind says:

Yes , because of now traditional ways of to get power is on the path of ending. From nowadays , we started for saving the traditional fuels then it is not necessary that our future generations have solar power in the home.

  8. saab says:

no, it would probably be nuclear ppower plants(tiny)

  9. Nefertiti says:

It probably is going to be necessary for solar paneled house to continue to reverse global workal as much as we can. The only downfall to this is probably that the electric company would not be making enough money or no mney at all depending in how people agree to use the solar panels. And another is going to be getting energy at night which is not to much of a big problem that can be solve by using lunar panels or a save bank that can store energy to use at night.

  10. Zepallica says:

Not until it becomes comparable to traditional energy methods. I think it’s a great idea but in it’s current state start up costs are too expensive and without being integrated into the initial home itself tends to look unsightly.
