    •Resources – No fuel is required, and no pollution is
    produced.
    • Protecting the land – People who live on Cape Cod
    worry that the turbines will ruin the natural beauty
    of Cape Cod.
    • Protecting the animals – Fish, birds, and seals might
    be disturbed or hurt. On the other hand, some
    • animals could use the turbines for protection, like
    reefs for fish.
    • Tourism – The windmills might block boats. They
    may make Cape Cod less “natural” and fewer people would want to vacation
    there. However, some people may want to visit Cape Cod to see
    the windmills themselves.
    • Costs – Wind energy saves money because it’s renewable, but turbines
    are expensive to build, and people need to take care of them.

    To add to the previous answer, wind is intermittent, meaning the wind doesn’t always blow so it’s not a constant source of energy.
