Does throwing regular trash into the recycle bin create jobs?

I think that my continuous use of recycle bins for regular, smelly, disgusting trash is good for the economy, because some government environmentalist trash worker, must then sort through my disgusting trash, to pick out the bottles, cans and other stuff that were also deposited.

Is this a good thing I’m doing in providing jobs and job security to trash sorters?

    not in my area.

just got a blurb form the county saving that unacceptable stuff in the recycling bin is reason for the employees to refuse to pick it up at all. they also defined several previously recyclables as garbage that isn’t to be recycled.

No actually, recycling is done by private companies. All you are doing is making it harder for another capitalist to make a profit and adds to the costs for consumers. Any jobs you may be creating are probably very low paying jobs that are usually filled by illegal immigrants,so you are contributing to other problems as well.

    Yes

who is picking up the trash?

Not all trash sorters are government employees. There are private haulers as well as city haulers. The one thing they have in common is that at the transfer station (where they sort the trash) it is smelly and dirty. Those jobs are usually done by illegals.

No. This is an example of malinvestment.

Real economic growth is done through production of goods and services. By throwing trash into the recycle bin, you would be effectively destroying wealth because the trash sorter is having to do unnecessary work. It would be better if they could do more productive work.

Now that is a good question. Bravo.

    I’d say yes.

Private companies sort through the trash actually. The company that picks up our recycables is traded on the stock market.

do some research before humililiating yourself any further you marxist

So you want to keep disrupting the system so the government will hire more workers with your tax dollars?
