    I didn’t qualify for the rebate here inNY because my panels were under 85% efficient. At a $20,000 quote for a grid connected system, I balked and opted for a DIY system that cost less than $4000 and wasn’t grid connected. A good idea when the power goes out! With a grid connected system your power goes out even if you have solar!
