Chemical energy is energy derived as heat from endothermic chemical reactions, such as the heat generated when an acid and a base neutralize each other. It could also be the electrical energy produced by chemical reactions in a battery.
Geothermal energy is that derived from heat generated in the core of the Earth. It originated in potential energy of the initial planetary building process, plus episodes of iron catastrophe, and also includes the heat generated by the decay radioactivity of the core’s contents.
