A box fan will use less electricity than a window unit, but it will not cool the room as much. If it is cool at night, that won’t be a concern, but if where you live is very hot, then you’ll have trouble getting a good night’s sleep with just a box fan and you’ll need to use a window unit just to keep cool.
A fan uses considerable less electricity than an A/C, even the most efficient one!
the fan. and you can certainly live without an ac.. you’l get used to the heat eventually and the fan will b of use. an ac used for 3 hours is worse than a fan used the whole night.
