    Advantages of a Geothermal Power Plant.
    1. It is a renewable form of energy.
    2. IT USES NO FOSSIL FUEL.
    3. Its maintenance cost is lower than nuclear power plant.
    4.Its energy cost produce is as low as $0.03 per kw/hr.
    5. It is not a hazardous installation.
    Its gas emission is very much lower than coal fired power plants.
    6. Land use is 12-8 acres per mw installed, nuclear power [plant requires 5-10 acres and coal fired power plant requires 19 acres of land area perinstalled mw.
    Disadvantages:
    1. Capital investment required is $1190-$3,000. per installed KW.as compared to hydroelectric, $735-4788.00, coal at 1070-1410. and nuclear, $S1,500.-4,800.00
    2. Land in the installed area subsides by 45cm/year in some areas. and 25cm/year in nearby areas. This happened in Neew Zealand. This can lead to instability of buildings near the area.
    3. Installation works will take long and is very noisy.
