What exactly is clean electrical energy?

What fuels or processes are used to make clean electricity? Which ones are 24/7? Does biomass ever involve burning something?
Are nuclear power plants a clean source of energy? Should we build more nuclear power plants?

U.S. alone produce 3,000 tons of high-level waste each year from 104 reactors. Radio active waste lasts millions of years, and the problem of what to do with this waste has not been solved.
Why not use large water wheels on rivers banks for clean energy alternative/suppliment?

I need this information for a club.:) how much energy does a water plant use to clean waste water (such as toilet water, not just simple street water that can be distilled) straight-forward answers please!
