I understand that solar panels produce DC power, then via an inverter produce AC. I want to preheat water via an electric water heater before it goes to the gas fired unit in our home. Will it harm or even work to supply less than full AC amperage to the elc. htr? Thanks Dave

The first answer said there is no pollution, yes, the car does not pollute. However, depending on how the electricity was made, does cause pollution.

the motor would be used to pump water from a well to an over head tank about 12 feet high,
with a 200-300 gallon capacity.
the pump would probably run 2-3 times a day for about15-20minutes.
I live in the Philippines, about 20kms south from it’s capital city of Manila

it seems to me that we are just letting the power companies capitalize on a power source that really should be more accessable to us, the ones that have been paying for nuclear and other power sources that we can’t, by law, have installed on our property.
