i carefully took apart a few old calculators the other day. i thought i might be able to salvage the solar panels in them and make something useful.

New York City currently only recycles plastic items with narrow necks. This means that deli and yogurt containers, even ones made of type 1 or 2 plastic, cannot be recycled regularly. Isn’t there a facility I can take these items to, rather than putting them in the trash?
Also, how can I recycle batteries?

I hate to just pitch them out, several of them are very pretty. Used to be some organizations wanted the pictures for children to do art with,but I don’t know how to get in touch with them. I’d rather not recycle them, but if I must I will.
